Turn $100 into $2000 in 60 Days Challenge – Week 6 Results

Make money onlineWell this a quick update as it has been quite a hectic week! I have had so much going on in my offline life that I have hardly had time to stop for breath. I really hate weeks like this!

We decided last year that now my husband is retired we would move house. Not only will we downsize but we plan to move closer to two of our children.

One day this week was spent looking at houses which suddenly came on the market and was 100 mile round trip. There is not much coming onto the market in the area we want to move to so they are snapped up when they do.

Another day just flew by baby-sitting for our daughter, and I had to do two more 95 round trips which took up half a day each.

On top of this we are blitzing the house to get it tidy enough for the Estate Agent to take pictures. The main living rooms are presentable enough but a couple of the bedrooms have turned into junk rooms and my office is badly in need of a declutter.

Isn’t amazing how much “stuff” you can collect over the years?

So what with the normal boring household chores I have not had as much time to spend on my website stuff.

I wake up early these light mornings and I can just about get in my minimum of 60 minutes a day of forum commenting and blog commenting for this 60 Day Challenge before I go out.

I was really chuffed with Adrienne Smith’s comment about my internal linking for SEO  post.

Great share here young lady, nice job of explaining this.

The “young lady” bit made my day too!

Traffic & Sales Update

My traffic remains constant from forums, other blogs that I comment on, Facebook and search traffic with 65.67% new and 34.30% returning visitors.

The good news is that I made a sale from my squeeze page –  sales funnel OTO. I don’t know if it was a late optin from my solo ad of last week or if it was as a result of an optin from this blog.

I am getting a 1% conversion with the OTO which is about average but it could obviously do with some more testing and tweaking.

The bad news is that I did not make any sales from the Quick Start Challenge
Banner on my thank you page. I may change the banner for the next solo ad to see if makes any difference.

I am going to add the funds from the sale to the remainder of the $100 and book another solo ad.

I have yet to send out a promo email for it to my list as I wanted to grow my list first. I will do that this week.

Have you got a squeeze page – sales funnel in place? What conversions are you getting?

  1. Hey what a great post!

I enjoyed this post and it was most informative, btw i would love to be an affiliate of the quick start challenge too…I want to include a banner in my thank you page….could you tell me how? thank you very much again great post Sandy!

  2. Hi Sandy,

Congrats on the compliment from Adrienne. I can see her giving you one as the post was very informative.

It sounds like that perhaps you are moving because you want to live closer to your daughter. Is that right? I am about 2.5 hours away from my daughters and I too think it is time to move. Perhaps next year.

Congrats on your sale. Did you make it as a result of a solo ad or are you referring to your optin here on the site?

I am looking forward to hearing about your new solo ads to see if your QSC sales are going to improve.

    Take care,

    Dita

    1. Thanks Dita.

Yes, you are right. We will be moving closer to my husbands daughter. She is about an hours drive from us now. My son is 2.5 hours away so we will be only 1.5 hours from him when we move.

I don’t know if I made the sale as a result of the solo or not. It was some time after the solo ad but it could have come from it. I don’t know of a way to track that, do you?

      Cheers

      Sandy

  3. Hey Sandy.

Sounds like you’re making great progress, especially with all the distractions you currently have going on in your life right now. Good distractions though from the sound of things. Hope you get sorted with the house hunting. I know how frustrating moving can be 🙂

And…congratulations on the sales. Keep em coming!

I’ve also taken my biz back to basics. Just yesterday I set up split testing on two variations of my squeeze page. Until now my page was converting at 35% but before I go investing in paid traffic I’m looking for 40 to 50 % ideally.

Hopefully the conversion will increase now I’ve made changes. Just have to wait and see after I’ve sent traffic that way.

What software will you use for split testing?

I do have a paid offer in place. Not tested that yet. As soon as I have more visitors, increasing conversions will be the next task.

Anyways. It’s been lovely reading your progress here on your blog and I’ll definitely be back soon to see how you’re doing 🙂

    1. Hi Kerry,

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I do appreciate it.

I’m thinking of testing a different squeeze page too. I used one that was recommended by one of my coaches as it converted at 38% for my previous free report. This time it is only converting at about 33.5%. That may not be down to the squeeze page of course but the report I am offering.

Squeeze pages have changed quite a lot recently and very simple ones seem to be working best for a lot of marketers. It’s always important to have the optin form above the fold though.

There is no doubt it’s only by tesing that we get to find out what works best. I am going to use Google Website Optimizer for split testing. What about you?

      Good luck with your conversions.

  4. You knew I’d get by here sooner or later right Sandy!

Wow, you do have a lot going on and I can sympathize with you. Last summer we downsized my Mom. She had been in that four bedroom home for 47 years and we moved her into a one bedroom condo. They are a nice size but that’s still pretty drastic. We also had an estate sale for her as well but we hired a guy to do all the work. Now we cleaned and put everything back in the cabinets and closets we didn’t want so that much was already done.

Ah, thanks for that mention and I did think you did a fabulous job explaining interlinking. And Sandy, we’re ALL young ladies in my eyes. I refuse to get old and I know you do too.

Well congratulations on that sale and that’s where all this testing comes into play. I have a feeling you’ll get that banner placement situated and probably have a few more sales to share with us in your next post.

Good luck and on that move too! Don’t wear yourself out now. It’s a heck of a lot of work.

  5. Hi Sandy,

I am curios about your affiliate, I have been looking for more info to help me start an online business. A lot I have run across seems to good to be true, or a mom type of pyramid scheme. I clicked on your link but didn’t want to put my email in there. If you have any info you can send me that would be great. Thanks!

    Ryan

    1. Hey Ryan,

I am not sure why you did not want to put your name and email in the form to get the information. That is the best way to find out about the program. You can always unsubscribe.
