I am taking a step back and looking at what I have achieved or where I could have done better since I started Alex’s coaching course on making money on the internet.
I have just listened to his latest Webinar or perhaps I should say pep talk (to put it politely) because that’s what it really was.
Some of the students are racing ahead and have already created their own products. I haven’t done this yet because I had a couple of projects in the pipeline that I put aside when I started this course.
Funnily enough, I had just got back to it this week before I had a chance to listen the latest webinar replay. Alex says that he sees a pattern in the things his past students did that make them successful at making money online.
This is what they did:
- Had a plan
- Took action
- Asked for advice
- Got support.
Well I had my plan but deviated from it for a while to do the course but I don’t consider it a road block. It was simply a detour and one well worth taking it.  I have learnt an enormous amount from it and will continue to I am sure. It has helped me be able to move forward better with my original plan.
I had taken some action but put it on hold. But it’s all systems go again now and I am back on track with the project. I had asked for advice and got support this week just before I listened to the Webinar. What a coincidence!
My List Building
I am pleased with how my list building is going from the latest giveaway event I entered. It’s been the best one so far. So now I need to step it up a notch. I have a plan for that too. It’s all been a bit slow but I think it’s all beginning to come together. I’ll be revealing more details on this soon.
Out of my Comfort Zone
One thing I know I am guilty of is that I have shied away from doing things that are going take me into new waters like making a video of myself. It’s very odd because I have given talks before and it’s not that different. After all I can do it over and over until I get it right. I had no second chance with a talk.
I think is working out a script that’s the thing. I am not a good off the cuff sort of person. I am a planner and do like to be prepared. I will get to it but it is not really high on my to do list just now I have to get on with my original project.
Accountability
The other thing I have not done is make myself accountable in the student’s forum as my mentor suggested. I don’t feel I can do that. It sort of reminds me of the authority figures I had in my school and early working years. And I have been self employed for so long now that it would feel all wrong. I know there are good reasons for it but that’s how I feel.
Maybe that is one of my road blocks. I don’t know. I did take a sneak peek at that topic in the forum to see what others were doing but hey, surprise surprise, not that many are doing it. I don’t feel so bad now.
What do you think? What are your road blocks? Please leave me your comments below.

Hey Sandy
I think it’s really good to keep an eye on the other students, their progress pushes you to do more, it certainly has that effect on me.
I think with some solid plans laid out you will go far.
There are things we all shy away from, so your not the only one, my new way online is doing the things I am afraid of and it works really well and boosts your confidence greatly.
Sally 🙂
Hey Sandy,
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
One of my major road blocks recently has been Information Overload. But after overcoming this I now have plans in place to start moving forward again.
Once you have made your first video you will become more confident and making them will become alot easier.
Thanks,
Lee Scott.
Focus, this is all what we have to do. We all have been guilty of jumping on to the next big thing without even completing the first task you originally wanted to master.
