Outsource it for a Fiverr!

Some of Alexs Jeffreys students are saying that outsourcing is too expensive when you are just starting out. Well, I just heard about this cool new website where you can hire people for $5.00 to do anything you want.

Well, anything within reason I guess although there is some weird stuff being offered! This looks like a great way to outsource stuff.

When I visited the site I couldn’t believe what people were offering to do for $5.00. For example one person was offering to design a business card for a fiver. Another was offering to create a custom look-alike cartoon of you.

How about outsourcing a WordPress header for $5.00?

Want your affiliate link or web site link posted to tons of directories for search engine optimization? What about 2 articles of 300 words with keywords of your choice?

There are tons of crazy little things you can get done with the site too like you could pay five dollars for someone to sing Happy Birthday to a member of your family in Chinese!

WhiteWitch is offering to cast a spell for anything you desire! Yes please I would like £1,000,000 by next Thursday!

outsource

Of course I don’t know what the quality is like. I mean you can’t expect a lot for $5.00 can you, or can you?

It works a bit like eBay. Sellers are rated based on promptness of service and overall quality of the work they complete. Sellers have 24 hours to respond to orders – otherwise the buyer is automatically refunded his or her $5.

You pay by Paypal or credit card and you can track the progress of your work and communicate with the seller by messages on the site. You will have 48 hrs after work delivery to ask for fixes from the seller. Sounds fair enough to me.

Fiverr takes a dollar for each task or “gig” , as they call them, that is completed and the sellers needs to earn $40 before they can get at it so they can’t just take your money and run.

There are a number of different categories to choose from like Business, Writing, Graphics, Music and Audio, Social Marketing, Advertising, Programming, Tips and Advice, Travel, Technology Gift Ideas and Silly Stuff.

If you can’t find what you want to outsource you can put in a request.

I looked at the feedback for some of the “gigs” and those that had them all seemed to be good.

There were so many things that I wanted done that I nearly got carried away. I have outsourced a couple of jobs and will see how they turn out before I book anymore.

Fiverr was set up at the end of last year and it looks very busy. Some of the offers had waiting lists.

I’ll let you know what I think of the jobs when they have been completed. But do have a look yourself at the amazing range of things that you could outsource at www.fiverr.com and let me know what you think.

Since I wrote this post I discovered some great videos about Fiverr Outsourcing Secrets. It certainly pays to know how to look for the very best outsourcers or you can easily waste your time and money on gigs that don’t deliver on time or ones that take you for a ride.   Check them out here:

  2. Hey Sandy,

I need some outsourcing assistance right now and would love to her your result from using fiverr.

As long as you get the results that you’re looking for that’s the only thing to worry about.

You can’t expect too much for the price but for really tedious and boring tasks this could be a great service.

    Thanks for the tips.

    Reach new heights,

    Nathan

    1. I have heard that outsourcing to the Philippines is best if you are looking for a full or part time Virtual Assistant and not for small jobs. Am I right?

    1. I didn’t have too much luck on the first gigs I booked but have just booked another.
I will report on this one when completed. Others keep telling me how good many of them are.

One resource available to you as you continue to explore the Fiverr universe is my blog, bestoffiverr.com. I talk about actual gigs I have had done for me, many of which are quite extraordinary. I’ve purchased hundreds of gigs on Fiverr since its inception, and I offer advice on nagivating the sand traps and pitfalls.

Thanks again for talking about my favorite site, Fiverr.

  5. Hi Sandy,
Thanks for this useful article. I do outsourcing as i have employees who work for the clients in a very low salary. We offer a free trial for a week.

    1. Hi Mike,
That’s very useful to know. A free trial is great as it is sometimes hard to find good people to outsource work to.

  6. There is really no worries about the quality of service. I always choose gigs from top rated sellers rather than normal people who spam sometimes.

Fiverr is a nice place to get services or products at cheap price. Fiverr believes in skills of people rather than branded quality stuffs.

    1. You are absolutely right. It pays to look carefully at the feed back too although I believe it can be doctored. I always choose a top rated seller if I can.
