Happy New Year – Let’s Make 2012 Rock!

I just wanted to write a quick post to wish you  a very Happy New Year.

making money on the internet

I hope yours gets off to a better start than mine. I had planned to make a funny video to put on my blog for today. I got the idea from Sergio, a fellow coaching student, who told me he made it on JibJab.

It’s one of those sites where you put your face on a dancing character. His was really funny.

I registered as a free member and had a look at what was available. I found a video that I wanted to use but discovered I had to be paid member to make the video so I upgraded my account but the site still shows that I am a free member. I received a receipt from PayPal but nothing from JibJab.

I contacted their support desk but have heard nothing back. I guess everyone is taking a break for the holidays.

I am really disappointed as had it all planned out but that is the end of that idea. I hope I can use the site eventually.

My next setback is my usual gym workout. I usually go to the gym on Sunday morning and this morning was not going to be any different even though it’s New Years Day. I didn’t go at all last week and I am feeling it.

I thought I had better check to make sure they were open today so I went to their website only to find that they had no information about their Christmas or New year opening hours. Now that’s what I call really useful!

There is a lesson to be learned there don’t you think?

I decided to give them a call but no one answered so I guess they are closed today. Ah well, I’ll have to get out my Zumba DVD instead

I hope yours gets off to a better start!

Here’s to a New Year filled with an abundance of happiness, good health, and prosperity. Let’s make 2012 really rock!

  1. I can only hope my year will get improved in 2012, new job, new friends, and a great financial year.
I hope the same to you (beside the new job ofc).

    1. Thanks Aviran, I think we can do a lot to make the things we hope for happen. Visualization is a very powerful technique and there are a lot of free tools online now where you can create a vision board. The subconscious is very powerful.
      Take care

  2. Hi!
Became aware of you on Sergio’s Marketing.

    Happy New Year.

Love the look of your blog. You are doing a great job. I’ve only been actively working on trying to make some internet money since March, 2011 so I have some catching up to do! As a retired RN I was interested in Health and set up my website in that field….became interested in Internet Affiliate Marketing and actually made my Very First Sale on December 29th……..an IM product off my site I’m using for a coaching class.
Even if you are 71 like me, it’s never to late to learn! I love your tiny social links with your comments….where do I get?

    1. Hi Carata,

Good to meet a fellow nurse and congratulations on making your first sale.
You are right it’s never too late to learn and the internet has no age barriers.

I have a plugin that displays the social links at the end of posts. Is that what you mean?
It’s called SexyBookmarks and you can get it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sexybookmarks/

Wishing you great success in 2012

    1. Hi Joy,

I just found your comment in my spam for some reason. After I discovered I couldn’t get to the videos on JibJab I remembered Elf Yourself and did a search. I saw that it had been taken over by JibJab. but I only saw one theme. Yours is great. Wish I had found that one!

      All the best for 2012.

      Sandy

  3. Happy New Year, Sandy! I hope you were able to get over your disappointment and had fun with your DVD.
On Sunday, I woke up early to attend mass. I wanted to start the year right and I felt that going to church first thing will do wonders for me the whole year 🙂
Now, it’s back to work again and seeing to things that I haven’t finished from last year and starting on my goals for this year.
Let’s hope for a prosperous and rockstar 2012!

    1. Hi Theresa,

They did eventually sort out my account but I haven’t needed to use it sence then.
I will do something with it eventually. I wish you lots of success in 2012.

  4. Hey Sandy,

Thanks for mentioning me and I’m sorry to hear of your experience with JibJab, my upgrade went really smooth and I was up and running in minutes.

Hope they got it sorted for you by now!

I really haven’t taken the time to exercise this year yet so I envy your organization and energy, might need to do something about that ASAP.

I know that 2012 will mark us for good and hope we can start making a huge change in our lives and online businesses as well.

See you on the coaching calls, take care and all the best Sandy, speak soon! 😉

    1. Hey Sergio,

Thanks for dropping by and your good wishes. They did eventually get it sorted out but it was too late for the New Year by then. But, I will find another occaision to use it.

Wishing you great success for 2012.

  5. Hi Sandy,

I’m a witness of your great success last year. And I wish you all the success this year. Happy new year. Indeed let’s make 2012 rock 🙂

  6. It always a good idea to have a back up plan when it comes to fitness. Put the DVD on and burn some calories! Good luck in the new year on your fitness goals.

    1. You are so right Mike. I have found my gym very cold the past few weeks so with snow on the ground this morning I have opted to stay home and follow my Zumba DVD.

      Sandy

    1. Why does it always break down in cold weather? Hope you have good call out cover and that you will get it fixed soon.
The trouble is that these services are always very stretched when you need them!
